Boasting a catchy melody, harmonized vocals, and a lyrical flow that would impress even a seasoned freestyle artist, JOSIAHDAVIS.’s new track “STUCK WIT U” is set to release on major streaming platforms on Sept. 13.

The instrumental features a guitar-driven chord progression paired with an old-school boom-bap drum beat. While the intro evokes classic hip-hop, reminiscent of Jay-Z’s “Empire State of Mind,” the track quickly shifts into a more contemporary sound, with reverbed and harmonized vocals floating over jazzy, effects-laden guitar chords.

“STUCK WIT U” is well-produced and showcases Davis’s melodic singing abilities while leaving space for an impressively technical verse. The track also features Futuristic, the Illinois-born rapper who gained notoriety in 2015, and together they take listeners on a journey through heartbreak and relationship struggles, all while maintaining an optimistic outlook.

Davis, a 15-year-old rapper, singer, guitarist, producer, and beatmaker, has been creating music since he was seven years old. “I take real-life experiences and real things that I’ve felt, and I kind of turn it up to 11,” Davis explains, sharing the inspiration behind "STUCK WIT U."

Describing himself as an emotional person, Davis hopes his music can offer a safe space for listeners who experience intense emotions, just like he does. While “STUCK WIT U” taps into an old-school boom-bap style, Davis says he’s eager to incorporate more indie and experimental elements into his future work.

“By the end of my career, I want to have at least one song for everybody—any mood, genre, or vibe you can think of,” Davis says, highlighting his broad ambitions. He’s determined to show the world that music is not just a hobby for him. “This is something I’m 100% taking seriously. To anyone who doubts me, I’m going to prove you wrong,” he adds confidently.
